INCOME DISPARITY JUSTIFIES DEPARTURE FROM EQUALITY

The appeal of the case of A & L was heard on the 17th November.

The parties had been married for 14 years when they separated in 2000. A divorce was finalised two years later but financial matters were not bought to Court until 2011 by which time the children of the family were 18 and 21 and the wife, a housewife, was still living in the jointly owned family home.
